I don't know the total for NE, but I will say that 1 is too many. I want my football at 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

Why the hell would they give the Texans 5 primetime games? Someone must like watching Houston teams lose.

5 of course.

Panthers on Thursday night to open the season
At Chargers, regular Thursday night game
Texans, Monday Night Football
At Raiders, Sunday Night Football (I read it's the first time the Raiders have ever hosted SNF since NBC took over, not sure if that's true or not)
At Chiefs, Christmas

Interesting that we play all of our divisional road games in prime time.

Seahawks have 5 this year with the potential for 2 more to be flexed later on in the year.

I'm pretty sure they can only flex a team up to 6 primetime games.

I would suspect one of the potential flex games might be against the Packers

Since NBC has had that game the last two seasons, I'd bet Fox will protect it from being flexed.

Thats the one thing that has always confused me about the flex games.
It's not too difficult, CBS and Fox can protect a certain number of games from being flexed every year. They just have to protect it a couple of weeks out. The only week all the rules go out the window is week 17. To insure they major playoff implications, the NFL can flex any game they want the last week.

Thats the one thing that has always confused me about the flex games.

Every network has the right to protect one game a week if I remember right. I mean this is big time money for them so having the game flexed is huge revenue gone especially if it is such an important game. Usually what happens is one of the networks will offer a very nice cash incentive to let the game go but even then sometimes a network won't let it go. Honestly I like the rule. I think the networks wouldn't want to pay so much money to be able to show the games if they knew that games could be taken away from them. Keeps them interested in paying big money to the NFL.
