How bad is Lloyd McClendon?

Seriously I've got to ask this question,

Last years success aside, I genuinely feel that he is one of the worst managers the Mariners have had in recent years.

Some of the personnel decisions he has made have been questionable, and never seem to work out. I can't recall a manager who has made me ask "What the fuck is he thinking?" more times than McClendon. I know it is easy to place the blame on the manager when the team sucks, but I really do feel like McClendon hurts this team significantly more than he helps it.

Regardless of if Jack Z is here or not next year, I really hope McClendon is gone.

Not just him but it's a 3-headed circus show man. Ownership, GM, and Manager. Lethal and unsuccessful combination for this shit show.

I lost all faith in him around late May and June when he continually use Walkney in critical situations. He better be gone and so is Jack Z. The "rebuilding" cycles starts all over again.

I think unrealistic bullpen results masked a lot of his bad decisions last year. He still was making stupid lineup decisions last September when they were in hunt. Playing crap like Hart, Smoak and Denorfia just because a lefty was on the mound.

I don't really know what kind of a clubhouse manager he is but his. game managing leaves a lot together desired. Bunting no matter who the next hitter is, basing his lineup/ bullpen decisions on past results, playing Cruz in the field too much, etc. I could go on but yeah he's bad. Not to mention all the mental errors this team makes. Some of that is on the GM for the personnel but this team looks lost in basic situations at times. That's on the coaches.

I mean I don't give Lloyd any credit for the success we had last year. If anything, he probably hurt the team more than helped.

Not going to lie, Lloyd had me fooled for a while because of the amazing pen last year. I finally realized that he needed to go when in a game against Oakland in September of last year he threw out a starting lineup that included Smoak, Hart, Denorfia, Morales, and Sucre.

Yep, Lloyd had Corey Hart, in LF, in a game in September, against the team the M's were chasing for the last wild card spot.

I think his stubbornness is his biggest failure. The constant line up changes, every fucking game, drive me insane.
