I watched it just now and was incredibly creeped out by the amount of spiders just chilling in a hallway. Then the big f*cking spider just hanging out in front of the car. All kinds of NOPE. This reminded me though of REC just with a spider infestation instead of a rabies outbreak.

Late Night with the Devil is great and exactly the kind of movie more studios should be funding.

David Daswhatever is always good, and the pseudo found footage angle works well for this one.

Really enjoyed it and I hope it gets enough money to show the studios that this is the quality we need to be making.

Just got around to this, so good. Well acted, super original concept and yet very familiar. Not sure they stuck the landing but it didn't matter.

Now watching 47 Meters Down Uncaged, yikes. I need another drink or 2 in me for this to be tolerable.

This is GREAT. Good creature feature, minimized jump scares (and the ones there were meaningful/fairly predictable - it didn't require a super loud BANG with a fakeout clock or some bullshit), AMAZING younger acting (Alyla Browne is about 13 or so) and she carries the film - so rare for an actor of that age to do it. I am looking forward to what this young lady does in film going forward... God damn what a hell of a job. Usually a find kids annoying, but if a 13 year old can carry a movie... DAYUM.

Some great elements here of Alien, good isolation, fun film overall. This screams 90s B movies, and God bless them for making it. We need more of this and not the stupid paranormal shit we see 24/7 for the PG13 kiddies.

I'll give this a solid 7/10... I'm a bit biased because I love creature features but I couldn't help but love this movie for what it was.

A fever dream of sorts. Counting on the creeping sense of dread that’s only elevated by the enigmatic nature of the fear’s source, When Evil Lurks epitomizes a state of existence dangerously devoid of hope. What works is just how merciless it is in not giving you the predictable respite that’s usually the reassuring blanket you wrap around yourself when you watch a horror movie.

In a remote village, two brothers find a demon-infected man just about to "give birth" to evil itself. They decide to get rid of the body, only to end up unintentionally spreading chaos including the heroes own family who he desperately tries to save from the demonic forces consuming the entire countryside.

Overall, an impressively grim movie that it's bound to stick in your head for a while after the end credits have rolled.
