home stretch doesn't get much easier

Chicago / Phoenix back-to-back on the weekend.
we all know our struggles against Chicago, and Pheonix is no picnic either.

Avalanche (Wed) always seem to do well against us, and
San Jose (Fri) seems to play their best against us, too.

time to turn it up a notch. that effort against the pens isn't going to get it done.
hell, they got into an 0-2 hole in four of the five games on that trip.

The road trip was not very good all around. Poor effort on most nights. 2nd and 3rd line have gone to sleep after a couple of good weeks, and the D has been suspect most nights. Lou only had 1 good game, and Cory came back to earth with an off night against his idol.

On the bright side, it was a .500 road trip. 2-2-1. Most teams would be happy with that. Needless to say, our expectations for this team are very high as are their own. I doubt the team is happy with the results, now let's see if they can turn the jets on again.

im liking the attitude of the team coming off this road trip. most all I have heard on radio and on TV are very unhappy with their performance on the road.

henrik - sure we had a good road trip if we wanted to be an average team
luongo - if we want to be elite why would we be happy being .500 on the road.

Im paraphrasing a little but that is the general attitude and their tone convinced me they are really disappointed in themselves. I look forward to their answer.

I hope it gets really physical in the 3rd here. Do some damage, people.
