Add another history comp to the list...
Robin Yount Career Batting Splits - Baseball-Reference.comI don't know the stats but it would be interesting to see a month-by-month breakdown of Yount's career. It seemed like he came out of the gates blazing every year.

But Larkin was a better base stealer!...
Overall, of course, Yount...
But if we were to make this a short stop comp, you'd have to say Larkin...
Yount played 11 years 1400 games at short - then shifted to OF for 10 years (1200 games)
Larkin played all 19 seasons at short (2000 games)....
Excellent comp!
Not sure I agree that Larkin was the better player. It's not like Yount left the SS position to play a corner outfield position. He played center field which is almost as demanding as SS. Larkin also spent some of his best years playing college baseball, whereas Yount was in the majors at 18 years old.If larkin played more games then he would have been better than yount... I just cant get past the fact larkin averaged 114 games per season...
Larkin was the better player, but the better career is not even close... Yount clearly had the better career...
