these old time pitchers are strange they just pitch so much.... So their stats look absolutely amazing...

But i would have to pick grover cleveland because he had a lower ERA and a lower WHIP... But it seems like both pitchers were significantly better in the first half of their careers...

Alexander got to pitch a good portion of his career in the dead-ball era. Grove pitched his entire career in the live-ball era. Grove has a considerable advantage in ERA+.
