In the past I've taken up for Mike Stoops. But I find it hard to believe we don't have enough talent to stop Iowa State's third string QB.

I saw all I needed when we had them backed up to third and long on their own two and Mike decided his brilliant fucking call was to bring three and drop 8 into coverage.

He thought it was Tom Brady and not a 3rd string QB, who had NEVER taken a meaningful snap, in College Football. Mike Stoops knows, you can't rattle someone like that....

Texas has the advantage in injuries. its the only thing this team does consistently, get injured. There hasn't been the same starters on the OL since week 2. Lost a few right before the season. Nelson missed the KSU game. The 3 DL pretty much went the entire game vs OSU. That won't work vs OU

One, Sam Ehlinger may be a freshman QB, but he's faced and nearly beaten USC at USC.....this game isn't going to scare or rattle him

Two, Texas DC Todd Orlando seems to be fully prepared for OU and Baker Mayfield. I don't think OU will do anything that will surprise him. Players may not make the plays, but they should have the right calls and personnel on the field. Injuries may derail that but those are the only things that give me any confidence whatsoever.

I've noticed Orlando really likes specific packages for certain situations. It will be interesting to see how he handles it of Riley doesn't let him sub.
