I watched that game on TV. Ron Vanderkelan (something like that was the Whisky QB)
Wisconsin had their "W" on the front of their helmet instead of the side. (Probably to assist
them in lining up) The 4th quarter was basically played in the dark. The Rose Bowl had
no lights back then. Because Wisconsin threw every down, that game went longer than it
usually did. It became close at the end because of a nice rally by Whisky but the first 2 1/2
quarters was a SC rout.
