Most of us would never predict Clarky scoring 30. Great effort. Congrats to him!!! Hopefully he will inspire others low scorers.

I said that he would have to be playing on one of the top 2 lines. However, he obviously had something like 15 goals playing with no one at the mid point of the season. So he's got to be given a lot of credit.

Don't remember the thread but if I did post, I probably said no he wouldn't net 30. Like someone else said, glad I was wrong. Good for Clarkson. Would love to see him pick up his game in the playoffs. I see him having success this post season.

I remember if espn didn't go robust and delete all the old threads I would have bumped it I knew if Clarky was given the right circumstances such as more pp time and some playing time with the top lines he had it in him his offensive talents are very under rated

nope i said he would hit 30 however i'm just messing around cup.To be honest I'm more proud of Clarky than anything.Plus how many people would guess the devils are the only team in the nhl with 3 30 goal scorers?

I had him as kind of a Randy McKay 20 goal rough & tumble guy (BTW I loved Randy). Thought he had the potential to score more goals but I didn't think he was a 30 guy!

I too thought he'd be Mckay 2.0 now he's turning into what Scott Hartnell of the Cryers is. Rough,Tough and talented

Randy McKay was one of my favorites too. The guy played all out every game. I remember him taking on some heavy weights. If you ever saw him in real life, you would be shocked that he actually fought some of those guys he did.

I hope Clarkson follows McKays footsteps in the playoffs this season. McKay scored some huge goals. Never forget the OT winner against Boston when he climbed the glass.
How about the goal in game 6 against the Flyers also in 95.

He hasn't really done much in recent years. Since he left, he never lived up to his contract.
I think you might get him even cheaper than that.
