From the AP:

The Chicago Blackhawks have hired NHL veteran Steve Weeks as goaltending coach.

This year's Stanley Cup champions made the announcement Monday. Weeks has more than 25 years of experience with the NHL. He most recently was an assistant coach and goaltending specialist with the Atlanta Thrashers from 2001 to 2010. He's also been with the Carolina Hurricanes.

Weeks says he's looking forward to working with Corey Crawford and Nikolai Khabibulin.

The 55-year-old Weeks is from Scarborough, Ontario. He played 13 seasons with the NHL.

Sounds like he has experience. Unfortunately, I'm not crazy about anyone coaching for the Thrashers, especially for 10 years. After all:

1 Name a goalie who played for the Thrashers during that time
2 Name a goalie who was any good that played for the Thrashers during that time.

I'll sit back and wait for answers.

Yeah, definitely a concern. But, in fairness, Lehtonen played fairly well behind a bad D while he was there - at least on the occasions he was healthy.

I guess I'm happy, I've been bashing Waite every year since the last lockout except for this year.
Tough spot though. Jennings winning goalie pair due for a letdown. I'm willing to give him a long rope.
