After an injury filled season averaging 3.9 pts and 3.8 rebs in about 11min per game... HE GONE!

If the kids can stay healthy, which is my hope because I would like to see him play, he could be a solid pro in my opinion. Seemed to have all the tools.

Just waiting on Kennard and Allen now. If they leave Duke will lose 7 people off last years team. Only Frank Jackson would be the only one returning with major college basketball experience at that level.

I'll miss him next season if for nothing else but his attitude. For the minutes he had he was still a happy kid. You could tell he wanted to be his former self, but his injuries just wouldn't allow it.

Also, just saw Sean Obi is leaving as a grad transfer. Not that he's all that important, just another guy leaving.

yep, Obi was an oversized kid who also dealt with injuries since he arrived as a transfer from Rice.

I hope he can regain his old form. And most importantly his confidence. He did seem like a great kid, with a good attitude, who cared.

This was probably his best sequence as a Blue Devil.

That is true. However, the injury and then when he played not playing well will hurt his stock. Unless they draft on "potential" only

All of these departures were expected for Duke. Not a really big deal. Kennard and Allen are the wildcards. If at least one of them decides to stay, then that should be viewed as a big win for Duke. Also, need to close out strong on the recruiting trail this year.

Talk about a Bad decision. He should of went back for 1 more year get his stock up and might have a chacne to be a top 5 pick. Imagine Harrison Barnes coming out after year 1. This kid isn't ready for the NBA.

Barnes actually cost himself by staying. If I remember correctly, he was being talked about as the #1 pick (eventually Irving) in a super weak draft and then went 7th the next year in a very strong draft.

He actually stayed because he wanted to win, not to raise his stock.

If I remember correctly...

Disagree. I think its actually a smart decision. Get paid while you're regaining form. Right now he's a projected 1st round pick. If he were to go back to school and A) Not develop all that much or B) Get hurt again, he'd would fall to the the 2nd round. There's a big difference in pay for a 1st round to 2nd round pick but there's minimal difference between a top 5 pick and a top 20 pick.

Yup, exactly. In his situation staying would be the worst possible decision. I wish him well, hope eventually we get to see the player he is supposed to develop into.

Giles is a fascinating case study.

He could go top 10, or he could be the Perry Jones III of this year's draft.

I live it EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR.

It's a double edged sword man. Great talent that can absolutely win it every year with a bounce of the ball here or there... but, you just have to know that you're basically starting over every season or two with the way Cal and K are recruiting.

Both have won it in the OAD era. This year was an uphill battle for K with all of the injuries. That's something that no one can calculate.

Seemed like a good dude but can't imagine him going lottery. Maybe not even first round. Too many questions marks. Hopefully it works out for him

If he has a PJ3 like fall, Danny Ainge needs to cash in some chips. give him a chance to develop outside of the lime light.
