Cysts spew sebum, like that...zits spew dead neutrophils and sometimes the little hard chunk of keratin that caused the damn blockage in the first place. Zits are obviously very red with a very whitehead, because there is an ongoing infection, which can happen to sebaceous cysts, but usually they're just there.
