This is my first Father's Day without my dad, so I'm a little bummed out about that. That said, I've got two fantastic daughters and a wonderful wife, so I'm a lucky guy.

Took my parents and wife/kid out to a nice winery in the country yesterday. but as it was my wife's birthday recently, and my kid is too young to contribute, I got stuck with the whole bill. Happy Fathers Day!

Yep. I remember when I came back from Afghanistan. I got back early morning. Son had practice that night, so I drove him. When the other parents found out I just got back that day, they were all saying stuff like they would have been happy to bring him to practice; I didn’t need t do it.

I said the same thing to everyone: “Are you kidding? This is exactly where I’ve wanted to be for the last nine months!”

The best part of being a dad is seeing your kids doing well. I think my wife deserves most of the credit for the type of people they are today, but they certainly make me a proud papa of their accomplishments to date.
