I am not a WAR guy at all, but I like how baseball references does their HOF qualifications... They combine a players WAR with their 7 best seasons... even though I hate WAR, I am still interested in seeing players WAR7, or there JAWS(WAR and WAR7)...

Very interesting post... It sounds like you hate the concept of WAR, or how it is calculated... but you understand the value (or that it contains some value)...

I love WAR for the concept - but understand the calculations might be odd. It is a very useful stat as long as you do not overestimate it....
