MSU says the Spartan Marching Band is working with artist Jennifer Wen Ma on its largest, most complex halftime show. The 12-minute “The Art of the March: Cues from Sun Tzu’s ‘The Art of War’” will be performed at the home game against Maryland on Nov. 14. The lineup includes more than 600 performers, including 300 band members, as well as Chinese instruments. In addition, 1,500 audience members on the east side of Spartan Stadium will be asked to hold cards to form images that will be shown on a screen. Ma worked on the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
