Felix is 1st in the AL and 2nd in all of MLB with a 5.7 WAR

Robinson Cano and Kyle Seager are 3rd and 4th in the AL with a 4.9 and 4.8 WAR respectively


I'm not very knowledgeable on WAR so can someone explain to me how Donaldson has a higher WAR than Cano despite Cano beating him in bat avg (.333 vs .251), OBP (.402 vs .339), SLG (.476 vs .459), and OPS (.877 vs .797)

WAR takes both offense and defense into account. Donaldson's dWAR is 2.3, Cano's is 0.3.

Ah I see. I didn't realize Cano's dWAR was that low.

How come WAR doesn't take into account swagger and how cool you play in the infield?
