Allen announced today that Robert will be playing elsewhere next year. They have until the 9th to release him. Not sure, at this point, what they are waiting for. No trade is forthcoming. Pull the trigger and let's move on. Hopefully we can look back in 4 years and realize that this debacle was the end of the bone headed talent acquisition strategy this team has employed over the last 15 years or so.

Not a one. Wish him well (unless he goes to Dallas or Philly). Hope we can get something for him, but this will be one mistake I kinda saw coming, and will be glad to see us get past.

In 2011 when Griffin was having a big year I was worried the Skins would become interested.

Like Shark I hated the trade. I thought he would fail from the beginning. All those picks for a bust of a player. Give credit to the Shanahans for coming up with a way to make him successful. Silly me falling for it and thinking if he can do this while he learns to actually play QB .... WOW!!!

Following the Cleveland game I knew we had a problem. Instead of being happy for Cousins for playing well and helping to get a win all he talked about after the game was how he should have been playing. Not one kind word to his teammate. From that moment I knew it was all smoke and mirrors and he would be the player I thought he would be in 2011.

I am happy to see him go. I don't wish him ill will. Hopefully he can play well somewhere but I wouldn't put nickel on it.

Some one is going to make him an offer to come in as the starter provided he is willing to renegotiate that $16 million cap hit. Considering that Cleveland has a buttload of cap space, and could use an alter-boy to replace Johnny Numbnutz, could be a landing spot for him.


Mind you Im only looking at this in a situation where we could trade him.

If he gets cut, the Browns, 49ers, Texans and a few others are all in play.

Smart money says we will do every thing we can to not only get something back for him, but control where he goes.

My bet is he ends up in the AFC if we have any say over the matter.

I think we've been trying for months to find a trade partner. But no one is biting. Allen just conceded as much in his announcement. Maybe he isn't going to be in demand as some thought. Allen said he's heard from a couple teams. I would have thought every team needing a Qb would have at least placed a call.

All it takes is one. While i dont see a bidding war as the one he had going in 2012, I think there is at least a couple of teams that want him and would rather NOT get into an open market bidding war.
