Uchenna Nwosu named NFC Defensive Player of the Week​

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Uchenna Nwosu led the way in his squad's clutch defensive performance en route to holding back the Denver Broncos for a 17-16 victory on Monday night. Nwosu, the NFC Defensive Player of the Week, was all over the stat line, racking up seven tackles, a sack, a pass defensed and a huge forced fumble late in the third quarter on the Seahawks' 1-yard line.

WOOO! Hard not to be excited about this team! Woolen despite the flags (one of which was meh - the first one... when you watch in slow mo it probably wasn't DPI but it looked like it real time). Nwosu currently sits above a 90PFF grade! Hopefully that keeps up.

This is the key to building a solid team in having good free agent signings for players that arent necessarily gifted but they fit the scheme of what the team is looking for. This is similar to the Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett signing. For whatever reason it didnt workout in Las Vegas but he fits better with what we are looking to do.

Yeah, he has been one of few bright spots on the D thus far, along with 35 year old Al Woods!

He's been a beast two weeks in a row... Great to see a FA signing is actually playing up to and/or exceeding expectations... He fits great in this defense... Which makes it a bummer to see Jamal go down for the season... I was looking forward to seeing both of them going after the QB...
