When I hear about big breweries wanting to buy up the micro's because of their sucess. I would think that that success would stop once the consumer finds out a beer has been purchased, and odds are just switch to a different microbrew.

I am a consumer...you guy's make em', I'll buy it and drink it!

In all honesty consumers may never know exactly how well or how poorly a craft style brewery owned by a major brewery is doing. In fact for the numbers shown, Yuengling is included as a craft brewery even though the brewers association does not recognize them as a craft brewery, and they are at fault only of using corn in their beers. If I were guessing I would say that the craft style breweries owned by the macro brewers are also counted in the growth numbers, but that is only my speculation, I have no basis for it.
