I don't think it is Pete's fault but I was really embarrassed after he did that garbage during his long touchdown catch. Completely ruined a really impressive play. He did something similar during the Cardinals game. He has been like this since he got here. It is not Carroll's fault, or Notre Dame's fault, he just has no class.

I was beside myself when I saw that play last nite ... but then I remembered who had the ball in his hand. He has always been a "showboat" and jerk. He is an embarassment to himself, Fighting Irish, and the NFL in general.

I must have had a blind eye when he was at Notre Dame. I lost most of my respect for him when he completely blindsided Lee on the Cowboys which lee sustained a bad injury. After Tate's block he struck a muscle man pose. What an asshole.

As much as I was disappointed in Tate's actions on that play, I will still root for the Seahawks over the 49ers. Not a fan of Pete Carroll, but I find Jim Harbaugh to be even more annoying.

I actually agree with you on this. I greatly enjoyed telling my packer friends how Tate was one of only three or four receivers in the league who could have made that great catch against Green Bay in the Monday night game with the replacement refs. I love how they blamed Tate for the referees call.

I hear ESPN guys saying, "we can't have a taunting penalty negate a touchdown". I say why the hell not?

Think of all the times touchdowns have been negated by holding or a block in the back when the foul had no bearing on whether the touchdown was scored.

I would be in favor of taunting becoming a spot of the foul penalty.

Pete Carroll was a classless @$$hole while at USC and when Harbaugh and the Cardinals returned the favor against his mighty Trojans he was upset about it. He just got to feel what the rest of the Pac 10 had to while they were running up the score on people and having a grand old time doing it.

I'm glad he stuck it to Pete Carroll,but I will always think of Harbugh as a jerk for the way he blew off Clausen after our game with Stanford in 2008. I was never a huge Clausen fan, but when an adult goes out of his way to ignore a player that is trying to shake his hand after a game, I think he's pretty low class. I tend to hold grudges on stuff like this, so for the near future (or until he gets 3-4 domers on the team), I will root against Jim Harbaugh.

I'm a huge 49ers fan. I love Jim but also acknowledge he is a double ended dildo. He is a good coach and am happy he has brought the niners back to relevance.
