The next time someone asks why Atlanta fans are so apathetic or criticizes us for it, I'm going to point to bullshit like this. All four (counting the Thrashers) have done almost nothing but disappoint us year, after year, after year, after fucking year. The Falcons barley win one Playoff game after nearly falling apart after five years of winning seasons. This was the year we were finally getting some respect. And what happens? We have a 1-2 start (probably going to be 1-3 soon) with a lot of tough games to go. The Braves, except for one year out of, like, six trips to the World Series and fourteen divisional titles, always disappoint us. The Hawks have never gotten past the second round (granted they haven't had a team good enough to disappoint us in decades). And the Thrashers were God awful.

I seriously cannot be the only one who feels this way sometimes. Yeah, we're not as bad of a sports city as Cleveland, but, still, this shit is so tiring now. Call me a quitter or fair-weather fan; I don't care. I'll still watch and root for our teams as hard as I do now, but until one of them stops breaking my heart, I'm done getting my hopes up.

And ditto on Demonjoe's post above. No team in Atlanta has ever won a championship except the Braves pulled one out in 1995. One. Pitiful.

Sam Baker and Akeem Dent are out Monday night for the game. It's good that Dent is because he isn't that great but losing Sam Baker kinda sucks
