...but still missing hittable pitches in favorable counts. That's no way to hit, son.

Bumgarner needs to stop with these batting practice games. They annoy me.

To see them struggle to start off this road trip isn't surprising. The Nats are legit and have that look..
On the plus side, should the Giants have to face the Nats again in DC this year, it would likely be under better conditions

Sorry guys, I gotta take the fall for this one.

I turned the game on in the bottom of the third with 2 outs.

Looked good when I turned it on.

Giants on pace to hit 98HR this year. They had 121 last year, and 162 in 2010.

(Cue repeated loop)

In the last five games, the Giants are 8 for 47 with RISP (.170), and they have lost four of those games. Obviously, pitching is to blame the last two days, but the hitting is abysmal. Many of the hitters are hitting for decent average. But I'd exchange a .300 hitter for a .250 hitter who drives in runs.

On another rant, this series so far, as soon as the Washington players are on base, they attempt to steal second. In the last two days, they are six of seven in stolen bases. Their catcher stole his first base of the season today on the first pitch!

And yet, when Giants get on base, (like Burriss who is supposed to be fast), just stay there. He scored anyway on Panda's double. We are running more than last year, but it just irks me to see the Nats run wild on our pitchers, and yet our runners do nothing but go station to station. Until they are in scoring position, of course. :D

Have a great celebration this evening, gents.

Kind of shatty, don't you think?

This is his worst start of the year, shit happens. Rip into Tim all you want, but to shit on one of our best players after he's had a bad night is pretty lame imo.

Look at the bright side, Panda looks to be back! Was a triple away from the cycle!

No longer in first place. That was a short stay.

Dogs have won 2 in a row, we have lost two in a row.

It's okay, stokes. We got this going for us

I wonder if the Giants know/care that the leader in the NL West on the 4th of July hasn’t won the division in 4 of the past 5 years? Strategic losses?

The Giants are better equipped for the late summer months when temps overall drop.

Still, the Giants cannot matchup powerwise with any of the top teams, NL or AL.

Az losing 5 straight to some poor teams is huge. No matter how poorly the Giants do in this road trip they'll be in the mix for first coming out of it.

I'm fired from doing GDT's. :L

Not to take anything away from the Nats, they're a scary good team.....but some of those HR's they hit to Right Center were unbelievable. I don't think we match up well with them if/when we make the playoffs.....and they have home field advantage.

Oh well, hopefully Cain can get the Giants back on track today.

Also, I agree with gp, the Diamondbacks scare me a lot more than the Dodgers do.

Nah, it was a collective board fail. I started posting..Cal started watching..and whoosh there went the lead.

I would think AT&T would nullify some of that gap power but the Nats have been very impressive so far this year.

Nats got right in Colorado and have been hot since. 8.6 runs per game over their last 8 games.
