Count me in. This "experiment" in savvy vet frugality has GOT to end.

I know it is still early in the season, but the only reason the kids are playing, is because of injuries. I would have liked to see Crawford given a chance, just on strategy or principle, but I will take it any way it comes. He looks like a good, solid, MLB shortstop. Second coming of Ozzie? No, but for our purposes, he is a wonderful fit. And, to honor my son, Crawford is a UCLA Bruin, he of the "faded" blue and gold!

I am not a huge fan of entering ST with untested rookies penciled in at the starter. You can never know for sure if the kids are going to pan out.


Of course there are exceptions like Posey, Griffey, ARod, etc, but Crawford is nowhere NEAR those guys. He needed to take the job mid-season, as he did.
