I've had Center Ice the past few years, but I was thinking of switching to GameCenter this year. IDK, would be kind of cool to be able to watch games on my phone, tablet, Play Station, and computer. Also would be cool to be able to check the highlights of games on the fly. They cost the same, only thing I'll miss about CenterIce is the NHL Network, but not really (just Kathryn Tappen).

I have never had either, but you can hook a PC to the TV so I see no advantage to TV only

I'm inclined to agree, unless I lose the NHL Network I don't see any advantages to Center Ice.

There is some advantage. Center Ice is an NHL product, so it has better distribution. What I mean is this. First of I have DirectTV so I get CI. That also translates to my AppleTV, which has the NHL Chanel so CI can be whatched that way. In addition I have an iPad and an iPhone, so CI is available to me over more platforms.

You can use NHL Game Center on PS3/PS4 and android phones.

I had CI for about 5-6 years straight from 2005-2011 or so, but then as the gaggle of kids grew from 1 to 4 it was simply not worth it anymore.

Not only was the TV commandeered by the kids, Disney Channel, Special Agent Oso and what not, I could not be home in time for the 4pm starts since I was picking a bunch of kids up from daycares, school and preschool. By the time we got home, ate, baths, etc. it was pretty much time for Kings hockey anyway so I would catch the game starting about 8:30pm when the kids go down.

I loved it when I had it, had a better bead on teams, coaches, even fans around the entire NHL and would like it again but it'll be a while. If I'm shelling out $160 (or whatever it is now - I'm sure they raised the price?) I want to be able to enjoy it.
