I was psyched to see this one: Matthew McConaughey and a great premise, based on a true story.

It's getting poor reviews. I hoped it would be this generations Glory, but it's not even an actual story from what I reading - it's just more of a history lesson over 15 years with some battle scenes.

Reviews I've read say it tries to cover too much ground. And fails.

Too bad. I remember hearing about it and it seems an amazing story of the Civil War.

Got really shitty reviews on RottenTomatoes, trailer looked amazing though which is pretty disappointing.
