9-8. Sketchy offensive line, receiver is now a weak spot for absolutely no reason thanks to Jerry and Stephen "Capboy" Jones. Defense overall is pretty solid but run defense is a weakness (particularly because of weak defensive tackle play). Dak is a good QB and I expect to see more of a ball control, limit mistakes type offense so most games should be close but I just don't see this offense averaging more than 23 points per game.

They have a huge hole at LT with Smith injured again. They are barely .500 without him and have a .631 winning pct with him.

And the thing is, he has missed at least three games every season since 2016. The writing has been on the wall forever that he needs to be replaced.

Lamb is a capable #1 but they are relying on a rookie in Tolbert to be a #2 right away and have no depth behind those 2.

Gallup needs to accelerate his rehab and return.

Lamb is good, but he did benefit from Cooper drawing extra attention and freeing up one on one opportunities for Lamb. He's still got to prove it IMO. I will say if Gallup can come back healthy he's got good hands and can stretch the field in spite of not being a super fast guy. They like to run him on go routes a ton.

Wow, just seeing the report of the ankle injury, reportedly due to some new cleats he wasn't comfortable with. This man is going to need to run for his life this season, so if he has an ankle injury, that's not great.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott tweaked his surgically repaired right ankle at practice on Thursday.

Per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Prescott was trying out a new pair of Jordan 11s when he hurt his ankle. He'll switch back to Jordan 1s for Sunday's game.

But breath easy, Cowboys fans. It sounds like it's nothing serious and won't impact his availability for Sunday's showdown against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Prescott was limited in practice, but told reporters that he's "good to go" for Sunday. He also blamed his shoes.
The tweak is to the same ankle that sustained a compound fracture and dislocation in gruesome fashion in Week 5 of the 2020 season. The injury cost Prescott the remaining 11 games that year. He couldn't feel his toes in the days after the injury that required multiple procedures to repair.

Prescott returned in 2021 to play 16 regular-season games and lead the Cowboys to the playoffs in his most productive season as a pro. He showed little sign of setback from the injury while completing 68.8% of his passes for 4,449 yards with a career-high 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
