Florida AD said the rumor was false. Charlie was asked at Big 12 media days if he would schedule Florida and Louisville and he said there are others to play.

HELL NO Florida would NEVER travel outside the state of Florida for a non conference game. Last time they did that they got spanked BADLY. Unless the SEC tells them they have to UF will stay in state for all non conference games.

Pre Muschamp, UF wouldn't have the sack to come to Austin. With Muschamp at the helm, this could be a possibility. Holy shit our OOC schedule is fucking good the next 10 years: BYU, UCLA, Notre Dame, tOSU, USC, Arky, CAL, Maryland & now possibly UF.....

Cal is so fun to despise. But this current version is a joke. Hopefully by the time Texas play them they are playing well.

Florida will get around to leaving the state for OOC.
You just cannot rush these things. There is a lot of planning to do for the gators.


Nobody can reasonably expect to find an out of state OOC opponent so quickly.
30 years is usually what a team needs to find an OOC opponent not from Florida.

Not that I like to pass up an opportunity to bash the Gators....but they are on the Jerryworld schedule for 2017 vs Michigan.

I know it's not Texas in Austin, but it is in Texas.

As much as I hate the Gators, I don't see too many other folks sacking up to put FSU on their schedule every year OOC.

Of course if the Gators weren't such whiny bitches this would probably just be a conference game...but that a different argument.
