So with Belt going down for AT LEAST 2 weeks (probably more), what happens with the roster?

1) Colvin - He has been playing well in Fresno and was one of the last cut in ST. Put him in Left and Morse at 1B?

2) Susac - He, too, has been doing well in Fresno. Not sure I want to start his clock yet, though. He and Posey can do a rotation of C/1B, with Hactor getting to play every 3rd day or so.

3) Duvall - I know his glove stinks at 3B, but how is it at 1B? Could be a chance to see if he is a post-panda option.

4) Brown - Has started strong. Put him in CF, move Pagan to left and Morse to 1B.

Duvall and Brown are both on the 40 while Colvin and Susac would need to be added.

I could see Colvin, they were talking about bringing him up before the injury anyway. They would likely transfer Scutaro to the 60-day DL.

Susac is tough to see. I was looking through the minor league rosters, and there just aren't enough healthy catchers in the system to afford moving anybody. Plus, as you said, why start his arb clock early for a few week fill-in?

Duvall is a very possible option. He's on the 40-man, plays 3B/1B, has pop (11 homers already).

In Browns case, you know they wouldn't unseat Pagan from CF. Blanco would start in LF, Morse at 1B and Brown would be the sub.

AnVill is the only other guy on the 40-man, but it is real tough to see him being brought up. Other long-shots include Chris Dominguez, and Joe Panik.

Panik is ready for at least a cuppo, but he does not fill the need created.

Dominguez is improving a lot by cutting down his power stroke. But I still think Duvall is higher on the depth chart and Duvall is on the 40.

Anvil is not owning AA enough to be given the shot. He is also a true prospect, so why start his clock?

Reportedly, Pagan with OK with the move to LF when he signed the contract. Blanco has not been hitting, and there is still a chance Brown can b something, so I would prefer giving Brown the shot. However, you ar probably right about Blanco. Boch rarely is ever gives the starting job to a kid just called up. Even Posey sat for a month when he was first called up (but won't get into that discussion - I still hate you, Mo).

Scoots to the 60 is an obvious move. So I guess in that case, Ishi or Colvin are as likely as Duvall or Brown.

On the post game they were saying it's probably Duvall.

Yup.

Sounds like it's at Kontos' expense.

Nope; Kontos was going down today anyway with Cain coming back. Colvin replaces Belt, with Beast shifting to 1b.

You do have to wonder how much longer they're going to stay with JCP and EA though...Brown and Panik loom.

With Beast moving to 1b for the next six weeks, I'd expect the order to get shuffled like this:

CF Oxy
SS Stamos
C Posey
1B Beast
RF Herk
3B Panda
2B HRicks
LF Colvin/Shark

Bench: Shark/Colvin, JCP, Kobe, EA, Hacktor

Also, Huff is just about ready to come back as well. Biggie to Fresno, where he can start every fifth day?

What?!?!? More Huffers to look forward to? I thought he retired! Would solve our 1B problem, though. :D

Ahh - brings back fond memories of our 1B Happy Hour Trio. A Belt, a Pill, and a Huff.
