Wow I actually like what Finebaum has to say for once. LOL

But he explained on SportsCenter this morning that if this season continues to go downhill, Notre Dame may not even have to fire Brian Kelly... He might just leave and leave for the NFL possibly.

What do you guys think? Will he leave for the NFL after this season? OR, will he stay?

I think Chicago is looking for an OC.

I mean he (Finebaum) actually did talk about Brian Kelly possibly going to the Bears... saying they needed a coaching position filled.

I don't envy anybody who coaches at Notre Dame. The fan base has Alabama expectations and the coach can recruit Northwestern level talent. Until there are some admission allowances made at Notre Dame they are just deluding themselves.

We get it, dude. You don't like Brian Kelly. Hopefully, you can get your wish and ND can go back to praying for 8 win seasons instead of getting them every year.

I don't know why any NFL team would want him. Being a great recruiter doesn't do much for you in the NFL. He makes bonehead play calls in the hope that they work and he can come off as some genius. They rarely work. He has never taken responsibility for his stupidity until yesterday. He loves calling out players and being in charge. Good luck with that on Sunday's. I

Who would hire him as a NFL HC?

I personally dislike him as a coach and while he does produce winning his styles, I think his anger is a negative to the team.

What NFL team would want him an in what capacity? He's a shitty HC and is bad play caller. I don't see him being an HC or OC in the NFL.

I have no dog in this fight, but perhaps Notre Dame should lose that Blueblood status. Since 1990, 26 years, they are 209-110-2 (.654). That is the sign of a good team, but far from being elite. The following schools have better records during that span:

School-------------W/L Record

Ohio State..................261-66-3 (.795)
Florida State..............262-71-1 (.786)
Florida.......................249-82-1 (.752)
Nebraska...................245-87-1 (.737)
Alabama....................242-89-1 (.730)

Miami........................227-93-0 (.719)
Oklahoma..................233-92-3 (.715)
Oregon......................228-98-0 (.699)
Virginia Tech..............227-99-1 (.696)
Georgia.....................225-98-1 (.696)

Texas........................225-98-2 (.695)
Michigan...................222-98-3 (.692)
USC.........................222-102-4 (.683)
Penn State................219-103-0 (.680)
Tennessee.................219-104-4 (.680)

LSU..........................214-106-1 (.668)
Auburn.....................212-106-3 (.665)
Wisconsin.................216-108-4 (.664)
Clemson...................210-111-1 (.654)
Notre Dame..............209-110-2 (.654)

Kansas State.............209-111-1 (.652)
Texas A&M................209-113-2 (.648)

Being the 25th best team in the nation over the past 26 years scarcely warrants the attention it receives. It is ironic that the lordly Domers are virtually identical with that most plebian of programs, Kansas State.

Or if one wishes to equate Blueblood with English nobility, one could envision a Duke that was the overseer of a vast colonial enterprise in India prior to World War II. After the war ended, India became independent and the colonial possessions disappeared into thin air, and that Duke's progeny became civil service employees of the British government, fondly remembering their lordly lineage when they had the opportunity to attend gatherings of the House of Lords while the House of Commons had far more political power...

"Yes, ol' Bean, like is tough now, but remember the rollicking time we had on the playing fields of Eton and the halls of Balliol College in good ol' Oxford?"

I think the real question is if the Domers continue to lose, does that vein in his forehead finally pop?
