The team that is getting robbed this year is South Carolina who beat Clemson and UCF

Appreciate the support, but no...teams that lose to Tennessee don't deserve BCS games.

If Bama had been a sport and lost one other game, like maybe the A&M one, we'd have had a better shot at the Sugar.

My initial thoughts....."great; Bama". Thats going to be ugly. However, after having time to think about it, to be the best, you have to beat the best. Bama has, more or less, dominated the past couple years. If not the best, they're right there at the top. If OU wants to run with the big dogs, they gotta get off the porch. Bama is a far more seasoned team then a very young OU and won't have much trouble getting the W, unless they decide its not worth it and fail to show.

Soooooo.......hello N'awlins. Lets work some Sooner voodoo!

That will be the excuse anyway should OU keep it within three or even upset Bama, but I think ole' Bob showed up against OSU and put his coaching britches on, I just hope he keeps them on. After all, OU can let it all hang out, nothing to lose. The OU 'D' is good enough to keep it close as long as the 'O' can get some first downs.

Sports Illustrated:
The Tide
will head to the Sugar Bowl to replace
Auburn. So the one big mystery Sunday night will
be who the New Orleans game picks as the
Tide's opponent. The obvious national draw
would be Alabama-Oregon, a matchup many have
been pining for the past two seasons. But the
Sugar Bowl cares more about ticket sales than TV
ratings, has never hosted a former Pac-10 team
and has a contractual partnership with the Big 12
starting next year. For those reasons I'm
predicting the Sugar Bowl takes 10-2 Oklahoma
over 10-2 Oregon.

I'm sure they likes them some hotel revenues, as well. Not saying that Oregon fans wouldn't come out and spend money, but the bowl committee (or at least the chamber of commerce) probably has charts and graphs of how much cash certain schools/teams have historically meant for the city.

Ticket sales implies hotels, bars, restaurants, and local attractions.

The Committees absolutely know which schools travel well. Oklahoma would very likey get that nod.

The only difference I see would be that Oregon fans might stay a day or two longer. Most Oklahoman's who could afford the trip have probably already been to New Orleans and seen all the attractions. They'd probably only stay the one overnight. Many Oklahoman's could just drive there (11 hrs) and back the next morning.

I doubt many Oregonians have been to New Orleans, so they might spend a few days there.

They have probably already gaged travel agency interest from Oregon.

Cool, now I'll get to bump all of those ridiculous "Clemson would destroy Ohio State on a neutral field" posts from earlier in the season.

hope that wasn't me. I'm gonna claim that I was drunk if I said anything remotely close to that. I don't like our odds against anyone in the top 15. This team just can't handle being in the spotlight. Well that, and we get manhandled in the trenches. Our S&C is awful. The D-line and Oline get pushed around in almost every game we play. The only surprises being the UGA game this year and the Peach bowl against LSU last year. And even in that LSU game, they owned us in the trenches. The only reason we won that game is because Les gave us an assist that John Stockton would have been jealous of.

I hope we show up and make it a game though. It sucks being a fan of a team that gets fucking blown out on the national stage year-in and year-out. The LSU game went a long way in healing some of those wounds last year, but then the FSU loss at HOME just busted the wound wide open again and I think most Clemson fans have the same feeling going into this bowl season as we had going into last years. A disappointing season, ending with a loss to the Cocks. Our heads are down and hope is lost. There's very little confidence in this staff (at least by those of us not drinking the Dabo kool-aid) and it's ability to coach up the talent on the field or to prepare this team for big games or to make proper in-game adjustments. OK, I feel pretty certain, I never said we'd crush OSU.

No, I don't think it was you. More likely an SEC homer who wanted Ohio State out of the top five to make room for another one of his favorite teams.

I think theres a 2 team limit from a conference for BCS bowls. So no one is getting robbed, it's just part of the system.

No more than two teams from a conference may be selected, regardless of whether they are automatic qualifiers or at-large selections, unless two non-champions from the same conference are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the final BCS Standings.

PAC is getting robbed. Arguably the best conference and the only one not getting 2 teams in

We need some Pac12 homers in here. Only 1 team from the 2nd best conference seems like a failure.

meh. Is what it is.

THis is the difference of playing 9 conference games vs 8.

Would have loved to have Idaho State instead of Zona in November.
