Do any new Arizona fans want to join this year? PM me your email if you want to join, it's a keeper league (5 keepers) heading into it's second year. There are two replacement teams available (one good team and one bad team)... but whoever takes over the bad team will get dibs on the first pick... the rest of the draft order will be based off records from last year... worst to best.

Only AZ fans are in it so it should be fun... let me know if you have any questions, thanks.

I was hoping for more instructions prior to the draft as this is the first time I've done keepers. On the other thread people said to just drop the guys you aren't keeping, but I see a place in my team setting where I can select explicitly my keepers. I don't know if you don't select any keepers there if all your players will go back in the draft even though you may have dropped all but 5?

Also, related to what I think could happen if you don't actually select your keepers and they go back in the draft, do we have to keep 5 and if we keep less, do the extra picks occur at the beginning or the end of the draft?

Not sure where to talk about this either? LOL Here or the Dbacks board but that thread has had even less traffic on it than here....

Yes, you need to select your keepers from the keeper menu on your team page. After you do that, you will a blue 'K' next to their name on your roster. Everyone needs to do this or when the draft starts any player not marked with as a keeper will be dropped.

As for the draft, the 5 keeper spots constitute the first 5 rounds of the draft. If you keep 5 players, you first pick will be in the 6th round. For every one less keeper kept, you get to draft a round earlier. That's how it worked in other keeper leagues I've played but I am not 100% sure if that's the case with ESPN.

I have a feeling that more than a few people assumed that just dropping everyone the didn't want to keep of their roster was going to set their keepers. I hope they read these threads prior to the roster deadline an hour before the draft.

That's why I wanted to get some clarification. This might be essentialy a "keeper" redraft league with you and me the only ones with keepers.....

I was able to log in but it won't let me drop players/ keep players. I guess it is what it is. I might not be able to make the draft as well. It can autograft for me.

This is partly my fault since I've been out of town the last two days... but since hardly ANYONE actually set their keepers in their settings I had to pause the draft. You've got to go to team settings and select 5 keepers before the draft starts so we can start things up.

I was thinking it might be easier to just re-draft altogether since some of you aren't familiar with keepers... let me know ASAP. Thanks.

I selected my keepers days ago. Got another draft taking place at same time from scratch (Yahoo) and not used to that system yet.

Yeah, I just saw a lot of keepable players in the draft pool when I launched the draft page and knew immediately that there were multiple teams that didn't select keepers.

If we can get it all taken care of tonight then we could get the draft set up for later tonight possibly, if not then by tomorrow night for sure. I just want everyone to be aware and know when the draft time is.

I'm now going to be stuck on auto-draft and I haven't rated any players.

I scheduled an hour for this draft and I have dinner plans with the girlfriend immediately after....

Actually, let's just do a re-draft. Too much work to get things settled and finalized. Starting from scratch would be easier.

I just want to make sure Jonas can log-in properly. I feel like he's signed into the wrong ESPN account based off what he said a couple weeks ago.
