The coach said his team reported to camp in great shape.
“You see a lot of body types changing, even with the young guys who have only been here for two months,” Pelini said. “You see their bodies taking shape and more lean body mass, more athleticism. It’s a testament. I wouldn’t trade (Husker football strength coach) James Dobson for anybody. I think he does a phenomenal job.”
Nebraska returns to practice Sunday— the practice is closed to media — and practices every day until its first off-day on Aug. 15.
They do that in prCtice too.... but all the matinez for qb crap coming off the spring game was stupid.... "we're talking bout practice".... It was practice- one day- not fall camp.... not spring camp... but one day- spring scrimmage and 3/4s of the state was all over martinez nutsack....
I really don't know if I see the players being huge tanks from what I can see.....maybe I don't have my goggles on or something.
I think they are just in better shape than they were last year at this time......I think they were in better shape towards the end of last season. It didn't seem like anyone was ridiculously huge, but the way the defense was able to come back out on the field every 2 minutes in that Texas game and keep competing was unreal.
To be honest, if a bunch of our players start gettin all bulky and huge that is going to concern me. Lean and quick is where it's at
I don't see any other player being huge or mind boggling gains...But Niles Paul is without a doubt a monster in those pics..Those arms are bigger then my entire torso.
But I agree, lean and quick is what college football has evolved to. Bo is creating SEC speed in Lincoln.
