Austin is the coolest city in America.
It prides itself on it and works to maintain its hip edge to attract celebrities.

In the month of March countless Hollywood actors, producers, directors, writers, musicians, authors, politicians, royalty, artists, activists, and just about everyone else descends on Austin.

Bieber is merely one of thousands from all over the globe who make the pilgrimage to the "scene" in Austin.

It can be a very valuable recruiting tool if used properly.
I am not sure Mack always used the city as much as he should have done.

It would be stupid not to showcase the celebrity and Hipness factor of Austin.
