How is Stanford UCF’s potential “trap game”? It is one of their toughest games of the year. It’s like saying Ohio State is a potential trap game for Michigan.

I don't mean to be too critical, because I do agree with several of these, but I also don't know how South Carolina presents a tougher challenge for Bama than any other SEC opponent. They lost a freakin BELK BOWL to a basketball college

Auburn - beware of that game you have with a team ranked 8 spots ahead of you. :L

Right. I was say the @Cinci game or Houston game would be more of a trap game. Maybe @Pitt as well.

Ohio State, you have games against Michigan, Penn State, and Michigan State but those are no worries, watch out for Cincinnati.

I think that's the point of the article, it's games teams need to be sure they don't overlook. OSU could look past Cincinnati, but how the hell is Auburn gonna look past a team ranked 8 spots ahead of them?

How does UCF over look Stanford? Notre Dame overlook Georgia? Texas AM overlook Clemson?

Yeah, it's a pretty inconsistent exercise.

Its because Stanford is not nearly as good as Cincy or Houston.

But UCF doesn't have "trap games with our 1-0 philosophy

Unless you are playing a team’s third string defense.

It’s funny how you think that is something unique to UCF.

I think it is the game the team doesn't want to overlook. Trap games or the G5/FCS teams that could be surprising. It is supposed to be teams they should easily beat, but they should still take seriously.

I hear ya, but I still don't think SC has a snowball's chance in that game. Carolina just doesn't have the horses to compete for four quarters.

I'm thinking there are other league games where Bama will be heavy favorites but the score will be closer at the final whistle. The date of the game is also in Bama's favor: it'll be after the tune-up games but before the point of the season where you start having key injuries.
