1: Didn't he turn down a very similar offer with the Blue Jays
2: So much for him going to the Yankees, huh?
3: Indians just got a lot better
4: Seems like the market for him was smaller than I thought

Cleveland gets a lot better. Next year, if they can stay healthy, they might make it back to the WS. Carrasco, EE, and Salazar added to that team will make them a force in the playoffs. I'm glad the cardinals did not get him.

Very nice pick up for Indians. Only 3 years 60 mill. Not bad for a 40 HR hitter.
Grade: A

He turned down 4 years 80 mill. So he lost a year and 20 mill.
I don't get why. He is a good hitter. 40 HRs 3 years in a row. The negative about him he is a DH and can play a little at 1st. That is where it hurts him. His market was only for AL teams.

Yeah that's what had me thinking. Wonder if he truly wanted out of Toronto

Cleveland was a favorite in the AL already and this makes them that much more of one

Blue Jays is not a team Im worried about next year. They have to sign Bautista now.

true, but he would have had more money. So I am wondering if he wanted out. I mean he did pass up $20 million. Though was the Indians deal more incentives?

Why would u want out. Before he went to the Blue Jays he avg 15 HRs and was an Avg player. Grass isn't always greener on the other side

I will say this Indians and Boston are Fav in the AL now.

Michael Brantley could be a big add as well. As of right now, he's supposed to be 100% for spring training.

Yeah, but he got out of Canada, so that makes it a win for him.
