When I get a chance I attend Atlanta Gladiator games. Last one was last season, hopefully will get up to Greenville and to Savannah soon. Also looking forward to the Athens team coming next year.

The team does get very good attendance for having a crappy team, the arena is starting to look dated, but overall a good place to watch a game.

NHL games cost a lot, they blast music into the stadium at all intermissions and pre-game to get you into the concourse, getting to/from is a nightmare in many places and sometimes you have to watch the Leafs.

I can’t claim to follow any smaller league team but any OHL/AHL game I’ve been to has always been fun. If you’ve got the free time it’s a nice way to spend it.

I never even watched anything below the NHL until the Americans came to town in 2009. Now it’s all I watch.

Hampton Roads was apparently one option for the Whalers to relocate to before they went to Raleigh.

Used to enjoy the Mississippi Sea Wolves games in Biloxi. Met a few players at the craps table at the old Presidents casino.

Hurricane Katrina ended it.

Hampton Roads was apparently one option for the Whalers to relocate to before they went to Raleigh.

George Shinn tried to bring NHL hockey to the area. The Rhinos were one of the top teams to get an expansion until the whalers relocated to Raliegh. Bettman and the NHL said that Hampton Roads would have been to close to both Washington and Raliegh and pulled us from the expansion process.

We do thank the Maple Leafs for firing John Brophy as he was the key part in the Admirals success in the ECHL.
