Early Enrollees and 5th year Players

Ok ND only has 2 coming in early. WR Justin Brent and DE Andrew Trumbetti. Its a small number this year but overall it feels good 2 know u have 2 kids that can't change their minds now. They start classes in January. Also good news those 2 won't count towards this years class so this year we can take 27 kids. We are at 22. So we can sign 5 more kids.

Ok on to the 5th year guys. It looks ND will keep 3 5 year guys. OG Christian Lombard(starter), Safety Austin Collinsworth(starter), and Kendall Moore(depth reason at the position)

No I added them already. Because remember the 2 EE don't count towards this class.

If they had more EE's I would prefer two new guys to Collinsworth or Moore.

Moore is for Depth at the position. We are thin at ILB.

Yes but again that is Freshmen. Kelly likes to have some vets at positions.

yes but I think he knows he needs to get to at least 10 wins next year. so to take a chance with a Fresh is risky. He can play moore and then later in the season if the Freshmen starts beating him out he can replace moore.

I guess my point is if a top recruit wants to pick Notre Dame are you really going to tell him know to keep Moore around.
