This is exactly it and exactly why I said to the Heat and Cavs fans up in arms about it, to look in the mirror.

Lebron jumped ship because he knew wasn't going to draw elite talent to Cleveland to play along side him. Same way OKC isnt the going to bring in elite FA's. They want big markets, glitz and glam, beaches etc. And mid to small market teams do not have this.

Hell, the only reason LeBron came back to Cleveland is because they hit the jackpot twice in the lottery with Kyrie and then Wiggins. I'd bet my life, LeBron is 100 percent behind the move to get Love and it was in place before he agreed to come back. Without those pieces, he'd be elsewhere.

Durant is no different. My guess is -- Westbrook told him, he was out the door next year to a big city team, probably the Knicks. So Durant did what was best for him and went to the team with the most pieces in place and the cap room available to sign him.

I have no problem with either leaving...the problem lies here

Lebron it was the way he left...the decision

Durant in the team he chose...looks like a pussy after being up 3-1

Lebron didn't join the favorites to win the championship...Period...GS was the favorites before durant even stepped foot in Oakland

29 ppg, 7 rebounds and 6 assists is pretty good though. What is that? Chopped liver?

It looks good and yet, the guy simply is not a winner. He plays no D, makes no one better around him, hogs the ball, etc. Just like Carmelo, you will never win a ring with either of those 2 as your best guy. As your #2 sure, but not as your #1.

Just seems like There are a lot of people in here that are butt hurt over Durant's decision, but Durant has been with them from the beginning of his career and watch the Thunder one by one refuse to give the players they needed to win a championship - more money. If he stayed with the Thunder, clearly he would never win one. I think he handled is departure quite nicely. It's time for the Thunder to move on

What are you talking about

the thunder were up 3-1 vs gs last year before they choked, in large part due to Durant

They just added oladipo and 11th round lottery pick and probably more...they were in a good place to challenge gs next year

But it's YOUR problem, not either of theirs.
Both James and Durant fulfilled there contracts.
At that point, they can do whatever THEY want.

So they choked and Warriors don't get credit for coming back to win?

Didn't that same scenario happen in the next series?

Did the Warriors choke or do Cavs get credit for coming back to win?

This is equivalent to lebron losing to gs last year then joining gs...

I agree about the lots of players are like this.
James started it though, and to do so, the Heat Big 3 took pay cuts ( which is fine with me).
It just is what it is, but I have a feeling change is coming.
This could be the last super team we ever see.

That i agree with, the nba should block it imo...They didn't let chris paul go to the lakers...this is much worse

I would have loved to see durant go to boston, and i think they would have been better than the cavs or close, i just like multiple good teams as an nba fan

It is.
So what?
Apparently Durant is very close with Curry/Iggy.
He wants to play with them.
This is his only chance.

Totally different then CP3.
Warriors have an owner, and cap space.

Nothing could possibly be blocked.

They were giving up gasol and odem...It was way more fair and that got blocked

Chris paul was also a free agent

Ask Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Patrick Ewing, Allen Iverson, and Gary Payton if they would mind being a 'not respected champion'

If i see them i will lol

By the way it's just funny to me because the same people here blasting lebron for leaving now support durant, mainly because of their hate for lebron and they hope it will help him lose

If Durant had gone to the cavs these same people would be bitching their head off about how lebron can't win without superstars...yet not a word about Durant doing it#truth

Not any different than taking 3 all stars and becoming favorites to win a championship. So if Golden State would have signed Curry, Clay, Green and Iggy in fa instead of having them all together already it would be different.
