Figured he was going to be good when he was with the Suns the first time. I remember him against the Lakers in the 2010 playoffs. He torched them. Only time I found myself yelling for the Suns to put Nash back in!!

Dragic is signed through 2015 with a player option for 2016. I don't see him going anywhere or hitting free agency any time soon. They will lock up Bledsoe this off-season & then work on resigning Dragic after that.

Nope. Dragic wants to be in Phoenix. He chose to be in Phoenix. Phoenix was the first place to give him a home in the NBA. He learned under Steve Nash in Phoenix. He loves Phoenix and the fans love him. Phoenix will be paying him whatever he wants anyway so this topic is irrelevant.

Pheonix traded him once, so its not a question of would they. he remembers that too. It does look like they have the cash on Pheonix, which I believe is a well run team right now. But dont think he wont get attention from some of the more elite teams...he will. He will then have to decide where he has the best chance to be happy. If any team has seen players come and go its Pheonix.

Yeah he remembered the trade enough to come back to PHOEnix. Believe me Dragic wants to stay. He is not going to ditch the Suns to be on a more "elite" team, whatever that means. Phoenix is his home He loves his coach, his teammates, and the fans. He has a good thing going in Phoenix. He is not going to screw everything up to make an extra million elsewhere.

Its not new news that he is a hot commodity. The Suns will have to start paying max or near max contracts soon enough...and soon is soon.

He is way under paid. Perhaps they should get a new contract moving asap.

Phoenix traded Dragic because he was ready to be a starter & was stuck behind what was at the time, a still top 5 PG in Nash. They did Dragic favor. They wanted Dragic to prove himself as a starter, which he did. There is a reason why Dragic immediately resigned with Phoenix when he became a FA a year later. You should take a look at Phoenix's long term salary outlook before making any assumptions. Other than Dragic, Phoenix has ZERO money allocated beyond 2015 right now. If they were to exercise every player option or qualifying offer, they still would only be about $16-17 mil for 2016. Money is not an issue. The Suns have enough space to sign Bledsoe to a max deal this off-season, Dragic to an extension, & sign a max type player. The Suns outlook is bright & the chances of Goran running off anywhere is slim to none.

Yes Dragic deserves a max contract but he is not going to leave Phoenix to make an extra million somewhere else. I think you overestimate his greed. Besides im not worried. The Suns will do whatever it takes to keep him in Phoenix. The fans demand it. We have endured enough terrible moves from our front office. Keeping Dragic is as much of a guarantee if I ever saw one.
