I heard from an insider that the guy they use in Michigan is named Mike, so this doesnt bode well when Michigan plays other teams, he will be looking for the guy named Mike on the other team.

Is it really shocking that a college offensive coordinator operates like Borges did? This is why so many top notch college QBs flame out in the pros. They have to start actually learning to read defenses and they fail miserably.

Yeah......this is more on Borges than on Hoke. Thankfully that problem has been rectified with the hiring of Nussmeier.


There was a reason why while their is/was debate on the job security of Hoke, pretty much every Michigan fan said Borges had to go.

Of course the buck always stops with the HC but a HC hires guys that he believes can do the job and he should let them do their jobs. If you realize they can't do the job you want them to you cut them loose. I certainly understand criticizing Hoke for the job he's done so far but his OC was a guy he worked with for years, had success with for years and when he realized it just wasn't working he cut bait. I just wouldn't pound him for that.
