He did a terrific job with this ball club. After all the injuries, and losing Kershaw for 2 months, as well as being the one to finally step up and discipline Puig. He did more in a single year than Mattingly did in his entire tenure, even topping Joe Torre with a 2-1 series lead in the NLCS. The fact that he even got that far in the postseason by simply riding Kershaw and Jansen is incredible in itself.
So congratulations are in order for Dave, and the future is looking bright in LA. Only the 2nd manager to ever win the award for the Dodgers, and I think we all know who that other manager was.
