Johnny Cueto may alter his mechanics

Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto may alter his mechanics when he returns from the disabled list, according to Cincinnati.com.

Cueto believes his delivery might be the reason for his recent oblique injuries. Cueto, who has a similar motion to Dodgers' great Fernando Valenzuela, said he would stop rotating as much if the injuries continue. Cueto's delivery requires so much rotation that he often completely turns his back to the hitter. He is slated to start against the Mets Monday.

no guarantee they are related.Check the chronology- the twist has been going on longer than the lat issue. Maybe its his workout routine, or the vitamins hes taking, or the cut fastball hes tinkering with. Personally, id stick with what works.

He will stop IF the injuries continue. I think somebody needs to sit the guy down and have him decide if he wants to pitch like Luis Tiant or be on the shelf like a dozen other guys.
