The Cubs visit Chavez for a three game series. With the Padres ownage of the D'backs, this is a golden opportunity for the Dodgers to outdistance the pack and close the door on the NL West.

Will they?

It is a good opportunity for the Dodgers. The Dodgers have the big guns on the mound so they need to score a little bit and they should be in good shape. The Dodgers can't take the Cubs lightly.

Teams like the Cubs and Padres are just out to upset and create as much mayhem for contenders as possible right now. It's all we have left. :D

It's already quite some distance, but some help from the PEDres wouldn't hurt :D

Nice to have Puig in the 2 hole again, I didn't really like the lineup last night but a few people got the day off so it's understandable.

Leaving these runners on in scoring position is frustrating the hell out of me right now.

Hanley almost went second-deck on that one.

You rarely ever see a shot like that at Dodger Stadium at night. Last time I went to the ballpark there was a softball homerun derby before the game and he almost hit it almost as far as they did with their aluminum bats.

Greinke's going the full 9, so much for spoilers.

Nah Greinke's pitch count is too high. I think either Beli or Wilson pitches the ninth. Great 8 innings from him tho

I thought for sure Don had the hook on that visit to the mound.

WTH is Mattingly doing letting Greinke throw that many pitches, I'm sure he talked Down into letting him pitch but we're most likely going to the playoffs, I don't want him wearing his arm out.

And now Zack feels like crap not finishing,

Oh well a win is a win, too bad he couldn't complete the game though.

I thought he should have been pulled after 8 but Don wanted Greinke to have the chance for the CG. Once he gave up that hit we knew he was done, and Wilson did good. It is a good win for us tonight :)

Isn't it a great feeling when the Dodgers win? It's so depressing when they lose. Tonight was a great night. Everything went as expected and the Dodgers hold on to their 9.5 game lead.

I'm sure Greinke wanted the shutout, but it wasn't meant to be. He pitched yet another terrific game. The first four starters on the Dodger staff are all capable of throwing blanks most every time out. That will be huge during the playoffs.

Brian Wilson, the Beard, the Evil One looks like he has a lot of zip on his pitches. That's good news for the Dodgers and not good news for the rest of the league.

Dodgers still need BP help. Get going Ned..........tick tock!

Greinke's been known to hide or try to make his case so tonight doesn't bother me too much as long as his arm feels okay. Got to admit I was sweating bullets hoping he would get that final out and not to see him hurt himself. He had nothing in the tank and when he hit the batter it was pretty obvious. If anything tonight was a good thing because now Don can just give him a look like "remember last time?".

Just got back from the game awesome night! Greinke pitched a Gem & even though Greinke still wanted to finish the game I don't think he should of pitched the 9th, but i'm ok with it i don't blame Don. Greinke would of convinced me also to let him get the shut out. I loved the Nick Punto interview LMAO!!!! :laugh3:

" Those Angel fans are turning into Dodger fans"-Punto

The reporter after the game asked him if he and Kershaw pushed eachother and Zack said it didn't matter Kershaw would just out do him tomorrow... lol gotta love it.
