Watched about 20 minutes as I was getting ready for work. Depressing. It's in freakin' Japan.

A MLB game, one that counts, played in freakin' Asia. Pretty disgraceful. What would Ty Cobb say?

Well, seeing as Ty Cobb was a miserable and racist prick... there's certainly a chance that he would be on your side of the debate here. Not sure he would be my "go to" guy on the matter, though.

I actually thought the scene there was pretty cool. Fans were pretty excited.

But yeah not alot of people care about the Mariners or A's so not sure who watched. More about just promoting the game over there

Yeah, I would much rather see 45,000 excited fans in a different country. As opposed to them playing at Oakland in front of a half empty dump of a stadium.

Prolly somethin' about darkies or kikes? Or, asking his wife if she got his good Klan robe cleaned and pressed?

What the hell is wrong with y'all? Slandering a true southern gentleman like Cobb! Should be ashamed!

I agree, Ty Cobb was just misunderstood. What I said was actually very disrespectful to such a great man.

He was actually a far bigger prick than people recall. :D

Dunno about Cobb. I read where a lot of the reputation he 'earned' was by a guy who propped up a bunch of bullshit that just got handed down and that the racist prick stuff wasn't true of him. Either way, I'd guess Cobb would play the game if it was scheduled. He had a long career of being pretty good.

Personally, for me, the season doesn't start until the Reds take the field but that aside, it is pretty cool for the Japanese fans to see a legend.

If anyone is promoting the bogus idea that MLB is trying to sell the game in Asia, they're about 80 years behind times. That was done long long long ago. Babe Ruth played ball in Japan in the 30s.

@Vitamike @Sportsguy9695 @molsaniceman

What's up, fellas?

Only 2 days until MLB's traditional opening day.

I was just curious if there's any chance of doing another weekly pickems for this season?? The last few have been amazing and a lot of fun.

Another one would be awesome.

@Vitamike @yoga≈surfing I am willing to run mlb pick em if I can do it on the site like we do for nfl and ncaa pick em. Where I don’t have to do the standings manually throughout the year. Can we quickly come up with vcash amount for season winners and weekly winners and someone tell me how to run it on the site through the pick em section

That'll be great, man. Appreciate the reply.

@Vitamike is the commish. *I will do data entry if needed on this though.

Awesome. Thanks, dude.

*I would like to help out, fellas...but that stuff is above my pay grade.

:dhd:

Btw: No need to rush this. It'll be fine if we miss the 1st few days or the 1st week or so...and we still have to put out the invite tags to get those interested in joining the pool.

Hopefully it happens.
