Well on that you're almost right...but the thread is "Countdown to Opening Day" ...with the emphasis on Countdown (ie: uniform # to rep each day, in descending order)

btw: any player's number works...retired or active doesn't matter.
It's just how it's working out right now.
I'm sure as we inch closer to April, we'll be seeing lots of current players added to the mix, as well as a few more that have retired.
