I don't really understand all the hate Nickelback gets. Admittedly, I am not very knowledgeable about music, and I generally don't like any Rock music made after the early 90s, but to my untrained ear, they didn't seem any worse than their contemporaries. I even found some of their choruses pretty catchy.

As I typed that, I actually thought about it, and how their rise to popularity coincided with the hipster movement. So they were probably just a victim of it suddenly becoming cool to hate the popular thing.

Either way, good for them. I hear they are mostly pretty nice dudes
