best selling fantasy series behind Hobbit/Rings from Tolkein,

I'm getting book 1 from the library this week, will let you know if I like it.

side note to the side note - anyone else still get books (or anything) from their local library?
people my age (early 30s) look at me like I'm crazy when I say I'm getting something from the library and not online.

I do, but not that often. Hate having a dead line to return it, things come up and maybe I don’t have the time to read it.

My wife has Dirty Dancing on and this scene is coming up where Johnny is about to be fired.
I know this is stupid, but this scene drives me nuts.
The rich snobs are all basically accusing innocent Johnny of theft.
And when Baby speaks up and suggests the "Schumaker" couple, her father blurts out,
"Baby, you don't go around accusing innocent people!"
Like you're doing, jefe?

Just killing time before game 7 TOR@BOS

Of course, you pick the one weekend that I'm not. LOL. For Christmas my brother-in-law got the family a trip to the Lake Kerr Lodge up by Ocala and this is the weekend that we are all going. This is the first weekend we will be away since last year, so that figures. Normally we are home weekends since we have the 3 year old and the 4 year old. We'll catch you next time though. Just out of curiosity, which way do you go to Tampa? Do you go down I-95 to Daytona and then catch I-4 and take it all the way over to Tampa? Or do you go I-95 all the way down to the Beachline and take that over to the 417 to I-4? Or is it quicker for you to just take I-10 over to I-75 and just take it all the way down to Tampa. I'm sure I've said this before, but even though I'm a Miami fan I actually graduated from Florida State, so I am very familiar with the hell that is I-10.

I take 10 to 75 and down. My father lives in Wesley Chapel not far off of 75 so its better than taking I-4

Yeah, I don't blame you. Anything to avoid I-4 for 100 miles is a good idea.

My father lives off State Road 56 so it’s easier to cruise down 75

Hey guys, my wife and I were talking about retirement.
Where is a nice, secluded but affordable place to live in Colorado? (cities or counties)
Nothing is etched in stone. Still half a dozen years away. Just throwing darts.
I still want to move to Canada.

Guess the depends on you definition of affordable. Anything west of I-25 until you get out of the mountains is awfully expensive for my tastes...but plenty of places to be secluded! East of I-25 however, is pretty decent, lots of open range, if your looking for an acreage, that's where I'd be looking

Let me clarify, we're looking for smaller homes around $100K with low property taxes. Old farm houses in the middle of nowhere would be ideal.
I think my wife has moved her focus to southern Wisconsin. :L

Ughh..Wisconsin? Yuck.
100g's your definitely looking in the area kinda underneath the Nebraska panhandle. Taxes statewide aren't terrible, but they aren't cheap either. I read somewhere we're like top five for highest taxes? I'm sure our CPA friend would know more about that. They don't seem to bad to me regardless.

For perspective, my home in Wellington, about ten miles north of Ft. Collins, small commuter town less than 8k people, modest ranch style with full finished basement, 4 beds, 2 baths, roughly 3k square feet, was just valued at 250-270k. Bought it 9 years ago for 145.. :)

Too steep.
It'll just be my wife and me.
We want to downsize.
Maybe have a spare room for the the son.
Would love to just wake up, have a cup of coffee and watch the snow fall.

And.... just like that, she's looking around Chattanooga now.
I think I have whiplash.
