The fact that it's fans of the same team makes it stand out more? One of my mates was at a Redskins game and after she was leaving a group of fans hit her in the face with a snowball, for absolutely no reason whatsoever? She didn't know them or had ever even met them before the cowardly assault. And what it made it even more bewildering, for her, was that it was other Skins fans who carried out the attack. She even yelled at them "What the he'll I'm one of you! Why would you attack someone from your own fanbase?" Obviously she wouldn't approve of hitting opposing fans but it was just infuriating and confusing why she was targeted?
