It is kinda messed up that we're two weeks into the season and the Oilers are only tonight playing their home opener.

Call me crazy, but 2.5 million is a lot of money to pay a guy just to operate the player's gate at the end of the bench. I mean, does McLellan plan to play Koskinen at some point this season?

Did Travis say he played his best game of the season on Saturday night?

I think Talbot's been fine and he doesn't see any need to yet. I'm sure there's a few teams who haven't played their backup yet still and Edmonton's played the fewest games in the NHL so far.

Besides, Todd didn't sign the guy.

Yes.....

Yes he did. And he also said that he's doing things we normal people don't see that makes it ok that he doesn't score at $6M per season. I'm not normal and I can say I see him doing 2 things Jack and shit .. and Jack left town

So Talbot's going to play another 65-70 games this season, eh? What do they call repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result?

Considering he's a UFA, I guess that would be called chasing a guy out of town lol

So do they waive Pully or does someone still give something up for him?

Funny how this keeps happening to Edmonton prospects.

Meanwhile "foolish" pick Pierre-Luc Dubois is averaging 17:45 per night and currently has 7 points in 10 games.

And to go back a few years, Nail Yakupov is... somewhere. I don't know? Working at Target maybe. Meanwhile Ryan Murray is averaging 23:00 per night and has 5 points while at times looking to rival the play of Zach Werenski.

Almost makes you wonder what Connor McDavid could do on a moderately good team.

It makes me wonder how bad the Oilers would be if they didn't luck into McLotteryball.

We've already established that draft was solid, but they could have wound up with Strome. THAT would have been funny.

Playing for SKA St. Petersburg in the KHL and having a pretty good season - 12 points in 15 games including 7 goals.
