Coach contracts should count against the cap once the coach gets fired.

What can't a reputable source say, Friedman, LeBrun, Mackenzie, Dreger, hell even Burnside just come out and say what a complete and utter failure Kevin Lowe is and what a complete disgrace the entire organization has become?

We all know it, we all see it - why can't any of the heavy hitters just come out and say it? Are they afriad he's got dirt on them too?

Capuano is the lowest paid head coach in the league. The Isles wouldn't have any concerns about it.

I think Calgary is quite the opposite (although the press relationship has been better with Feaster than it was with Dutter).

/Feaster's biggest problem is that he talks too much and gets himself into trouble.

Access is one thing, responsible journalism is another. It happens in all sports though. Reporters are afraid to tell it like it is. It's one reason why Billy Jaffe is no longer the color commentator for the Islanders. He told it like it was & Wang didn't like that. MSG had an agreement on a contract with Jaffe & Wang told MSG he wanted somebody else.

I remember in 1998 when McGuire & Sosa were saving baseball's ass. The media said nothing about PED's. McGuire had Andro in his locker & nobody ever questioned him about it. The media was as much to blame for what happened & the mess in baseball as MLB is.

I hope it happens. Messier has zero coaching experience. Sather doesn't have as talented a team as he thinks.
